Highlights of the Week!!!

Our Character Assembly!! Congratulations to all the students who got awards this time!!

We spent a lot of time writing this week!!
This writing was about when I get older what I want to do!
Besides writing the sentence we also illustrated it!

We learned about penguins and we wrote one fact that we learned about penguins.
We created a semantic map to list all the facts as we were reading our non fiction book on penguins.
From the map, we chose a fact we wanted to write about.   We also read about penguins in our Scholastic News.

We started writing with invented spelling.  The wrote the sentence themselves sounding out words .
They wrote all the sounds they heard in the words. 

We finished our snowmen and we wrote about how to build a snowman using the terms first, next , then and last. 

We made snowflakes to decorate our classroom.
