What a fun short week of school we had!!

The week started out with celebrating Abraham Lincoln's birthday. We made log cabins and we wore top hats. We also read a book about Abraham LIncoln and we wrote facts about him.

We learned about George Washington.  We made cherry trees and read a book on George Washington. We wore three corner hats and we wrote facts about George Washington.

We learned all about the traditions of Chinese New Year.  We made dragons and we watched a movie on Chinese New Year.  We read a book about the new year and we learned how to write numbers in chinese.  We also listened to chinese music and we even danced to the music.

We made lanterns for the new year.

We had an awesome chinese new year luncheon.  We made hats and placemats.

We ate chicken and broccoli with rice.  We all really liked the chinese food and we ate a lot.
We had juice and we ate fried noodles.  We also ate fortune cookies.

We received lucky red envelopes for good luck in the new year.  The envelopes were filled with chocolate coins.

We had a lot of fun!
